The Mimino Monument can be called one of the symbols of Dilijan without exaggeration. The most famous monument of the city is located in the center, at a roundabout, and is dedicated to the heroes of the no less famous Soviet film “Mimino”: Rubik (Frunzik Mkrtchyan), Valiko (Vakhtang Kikabidze) and Volokhov (Evgeny Leonov). Armenians, Georgians and Russians greet the guests of the city at a roundabout, reminding of eternal values and friendship. “In Dilijan, you open the tap, water flows - it takes second place in the world,” the hero of the film, Rubik, was proud of. With this phrase, he aroused the interest of tens of millions of viewers in his time. Between the heroes is a fountain, from which the very water flows. The monument was installed in 2011 and was immediately loved by both guests and locals. There are even queues here to take pictures with their favorite heroes. The sculptor of the monument is Armenak Vardanyan.
